The News Flash Ticker works fine logged in as the administrator user of the site but  doesn't display for other users. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

HI, I believe Chad already took care of this issue through email. But I will paste the response to the question here:

    Hi Chad,
thank you for your prompt reply. after changing the security settings to allow read/write access to FlashNewsTicker folder, it seems to be working fine.
Do you reckon that i can change the webconfig trust back to custom and have the webpart still working.

    Data Springs, Inc. Karma,

Hi. Lets look at one issue at a time... Maybe starting with the Admin only part and then looking at the trust issue. For the Admin only part, can you check the wpresources\FlashNewsTicker directory and make sure all users have full read/write access to that folder? Once we fix this issue we can go back to the trust level of your site and see what might need to be changed.

I'm having this problem as well I've looked at the solution above and can't apply it. a) I can't find a folder called wpresources/FlashNewsTicker and b) everything I can find that I canfind that loks like part of this module already has the correct permissions.

Just to be clear... When I'm logged in I see my news messages, when not logged in I see the default messages with default width and background etc.

    Tom,

I think in the first example this is because he was discussing it as a 'Web Part'. The Dynamic News Ticker (no longer called Flash(R) News Ticker because of some Adobe Copyright concerns) is either a module for DotNetNuke or a SharePoint Web Part. Are you using it as a module or as SharePoint Web Part?

I want to follow-up on this issue. I have the same problem as well. I'm running DNN 05.02.00 (275) using the News Ticker 1.10.0. When I set it up, I can see the ticker as an administrator but not as a user even though the module is set to be shown to all users. I have also tried using the default container provided by DNN and it is still not showing up.

Any ideas on how to get this fixed? Thanks.

Hi guys... Well I think these are actually separate issues. The issues reported earlier were specifically for the SharePoint Web Part and this issue is for DNN. Were you the one we discussed via email that you are running on multiple languages?
