Hello, the User Directory module doesn't align. Have logged in to betasprings and tried this and I get the same thing. SOS!

HI Julie, can you be more specific about the issue of alignment? Like "centered" on a page, etc? Can you perhaps provide a screenshot? Did you also create a page on betasprings? If so, can you provide the URL here as well? -- David

    Hi, David,

Yes, have tried this with the same outcome on the betasprings site as well. Most modules allow you to align the module through settings but with the DUD, it doesn't matter how you set the alignment, it continues to align left.

also, yes, here's an example - the first module on the left with the Ad Hoc banner is DUD, the one below it it Text/HTML. The DUD template and module and are set to center but the module itself will not center, only align left.

Hi. We are still researching this... From our initial research its getting the alignment property from the container/skin/pane etc... There is nothing in the module directly setting that to the left. Now, with that being said... It would appear that setting the alignment under settings would change this and it would appear that it changes for other modules. So we are still researching why/when this is happening.

Also, is the directory still on the link you posted? I don't see it there?

Hi, Chad, The DUD is in the upper left pane (starting with Ad Hoc Bands, then a couple of test spacer gifs under that). Below that is a Text/Html mod (Transportation Company ad) that aligns correctly.

It is actually the module itself that is not aligning. With most DNN modules, you can go into the settings area for the module and tell it where you want the module but with the DUD, right, center and left, all justify the module left. The template and skin are all set to align center so it's definitely the module itself.

    Here's the page again:

Hi. Yes I see that, we will review this. I think you are right, I am just not sure yet why because we never explicitly set the value to be 'left' anywhere etc... I think by not setting the value at all its defaulting to the left so we might have to add this as another option. Still not sure though, we have this on the list to test and review before the next minor or major release.

    Thanks,

    Chad
