Hello SK,
I would recommend exercising the Header Template and place a hyperlink in this template that will basically href the same page you're on. Make sure that in Module Configuration -> Search that you check the checkbox that states: "Display No Records Until Search".
This way if the link that created is clicked you can think of it as reloading the page and it will be as if it's your first time arriving on the page.
