Ok ... I have the search options form setup in the left pane, is there anyway to set the module up to display the results in the content pane?

    Hi,

There is not an easy way to do this directly within the module interface. We have had some clients do this but it requires a combination of Dynamic Views and Dynamic Forms.

    How do that do it?
    1. Create a search form using Dynamic Forms with the same short field names as the dynamic fields in Dynamic Views.

    2. Enable the features in Dynamic Forms for 'passing field values via querystring'

    3. Pass a few other paramters as well. I believe if you pass along &HideSearch=True and &AutoSearch=True.

So basically you end up passing in all of the search parameters which the module knows to pick up from the querystring, the the other items hide the standard search from Dynamic Views and kick off the search automatically to get the look and feel you are wanting.

    Thanks!

    -Chad

<!--[if gte mso 9]> fficeDocumentSettings> fficeDocumentSettings> Normal 0 21 unctuationKerning/> false false false oNotPromoteQF/> DE X-NONE X-NONE ontGrowAutofit/> ontFlipMirrorIndents/> verrideTableStyleHps/> Another way to build a search with result at same page in another pane is:

    1.       Create a DF with one (or more)  TextBox, name it “sparam1”. Use option “Pass value of this question to session variable”

    2.       Create a DV or tailoredText, create the template for searchresult and create a procedure to retrieve your result and pass search parameter like “exec SearchResults ‘$(sparam1)’. This is the initial SQL query for your tailoredText module.

    3.       After submitting the DF, a session variable sparam1 will be set and the tailored Module shows your result. But important for showing the new result is, you must set in DF under “General Settings” – “Redirect page after save” to same tab as your DF resides. E.g. your searchpage is www.mydomain.com/search.aspx then you must redirect to the same site with full domainname www.mydomain.com/search.aspx.

This fire the tailored module to reload.

You can see it working on http://www.exponde.com/home/suche.aspx

Have fun and greetings from Germany
