Hi

I was wondering if it is possible to link 2 or more instances of Dynamic Views together?

Example: - I have 2 instances of DV on 2 different pages...both using the same flat table on the database but just returning different fields. The Dynamic Forms made to use these DVs all have DSParam1 and they pass info between them.

What I am trying to accomplish is moving between both instances of DV with maybe a 'Next' or 'Back' button, or the likes.

Hi Alex,

I would probably need to see an example (working or not) to give some advise on this but yes, I am sure this can happen. You might have to do a few things such as:

1. Setup a hyperlink on instance 1 that points to instance 2 and passes the primary key for each record (which is really dsparam1). Sometimes if you used our wizards this would have been DynamicForms_ResultsID)

2. The 2nd instance would either need to have this field setup as a search field or it would need to use the free form query option. Note:you can pass query string parameters around for hidesearch=true and autosearch=true.

Hi Chad

I've created a template in DV adding buttons to direct to the other instance of DV. I am, however, having problems with the link.

This is the link I am using to link to my other instance of DV:

When I click the link, it goes to the raw template rather than the DSParam1 result. Is this something that needs premium support?
