Good day Data Springs!  I am happy to report that your modules have been a real gift to me and my client.  I am seeing an interesting sort behavior in DataViews  2.2.1.34402 / On Dnn 6.0.2.  It may be my own misunderstanding of the configuration, but my view is showing dates in this manner when sorted on the field todaysdate in descending order:

    9/9/2012

    9/8/2012

    9/6/2012

    9/5/2012

    9/3/2012

    9/3/2012

    9/2/2012

    9/13/2012

    9/12/2012

    9/10/2012

    9/1/2012

Note the 13th is after the 2nd of September.  Is there a way to correct this?  Did I miss a setting or something in the creation of the view?

Thanks again for a superb product!

    With gratitude,

    Michael Mock

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the compliments and comments on our components. Are you using the integration type of SQL or Dynamic Forms specifically? The Dynamic Views module might require you to use a custom query and the "Free Form" option to do what you are trying to do... I say this because our module is not going to recognize that your column is actually a date and its recognizing it as nvarchar. So in terms of alphabetical it will see "13" as being before "2" or "3" because of the 1 before the 3. I believe if you use the free form option you would be able to cast the column as a date and that might work better.

    Thanks,

    Chad
