I bought this hoping to return multiple rows from SQL. It looks like it isn't support, only a single row is returned, no looping mechanism is provided. Are there plans to add this?

Yes, at the moment the current version of Tailored Text / HTML can only bind one field to a single SQL query. However, we plan on adding this enhancement request in the next release. -- David
