I'm able to load new users successfully and add a role plus authorise them. But I can't seem to update profile details for users that exist already. The schedule runs with no errors, but the records are not updated in the database.


I tried the following:

1. Check "Overwrite Existing Users (by username)" and set filter to Username
 
2. Check "Overwrite Existing Users (by username)" and set filter to "Any field response".

3. Add userId to my import file (documentation says the update is based on userId).

What am I doing wrong?

A couple of questions here:
1. Are you choosing to overwrite user credential fields (username, display name, first name, last name, email?). If so at this time user credential fields including these and display name are not overwritten as they are separate from profile properties. The next version will support an option to override these properties.

2. You need to choose 'Username' in the item #2 above, so basically you want to overwrite the users information based on the username field in your database. The UserID is an auto generated number and is likely not ever going to work as an option. This feature to allow for alternate update fields was for customers that have import files which might be mapped to maybe a social security field or a customerID field instead of wanting to update the users based on the username field which is much more common.

Hope this helps, I imagine you just need to choose UserName for item #2.
