    The log file contains mostly this error:

    User Status (failed) :usern@domain.com failed w/ status: InvalidPassword;

    Password: 0

    Skipping to next record;

    Only 119 out of 2000+ are successful. I have carefully examined the successful ones and found that the only successful imports are passwords that are all numbers. Any passw with any other character (alpha, symbol, etc.) fails. I have set the DNN password requirements to minimum (3 char min, 0 nonalphanumeric, etc).

    Important: the same records that fail can be added manually via Add New User in DNN.

    I have gone through the spreadsheet carefully, all the fields look fine. There is data in almost every field (first, last, display, email, etc.). I have checked carefully and cannot find any potential problems that make sense.

    The export was done from DNN 5.x and the import site is DNN 7.0.3. IUI is v3.00.10. I have tried the import as a CSV and XLS file and gotten the same results. We have imported successfully in the past and retained passwords.

    Can someone offer any suggestions as to what we might be doing wrong? Or ask some questions? What have details have I left out? Thanks in advance - Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy - I just saw this and wanted to comment. I believe that you might want to try a different file format. Are you using a CSV, XLS, or XLSX file format? You might try and right click on the column name and see if the data format is set to "General" or "Generic" or what specifically this is set for. Our module appears to only be pulling in maybe the first character from what I can tell in the logs. You might even just consider saving the file as a CSV or XLS to see if that by itself is changing the format.

    Thanks!

    -Chad

    We were using XLS. I had change the column type from General to Text. This didn't help. It does seem like there is a bug when using XLS. We did switch to CSV and after avoiding some conflicts with our field separation character, we got a full successful import earlier today.
