Hi, we are currently running Dynamic Registration 4.10.70.
I need to change the minimum password length on registration from 7 to 3 with no character restrictions

I made the following change on our web.config



This supposedly does the trick according to DNN
But every time I try to register a user with a 3 character password (or any < 7 char password) I get this message:

"Your password does not match this portals security settings, please click the back button."

I checked the Admin > User account > User Settings
Minimum Password Length is 3 (not 7)

And DR still asks for a 7 character password.
Is there a config option I may me missing in DR?

Hi,

Our module has its own password requirements feature that can be used if you need to / want to increase the password requirements without modifying your web.config. So you will find this setting within the module configuration (either General Settings or Validation Configuration depending on your version). I believe the default is set to 7 which is probably what is causing you the problems.
