Is it possible to turn off required fields if a person is in the Manage Users part of the module?  We don't want our admins to necessarily have to fill out all the fields for a user to simply update one piece of information.

Possible solutions going forward for us would be:
A querystring parameter that we could pass along with the userid that would turn off the validation.

Creating a setting that people in certain roles wouldn't have to have valid information to submit form.

Simply turning off the validation if you are editing a user with a different userid from yourself.

Hi Stuart - there is not a way to do this within the module right now...You could go a few routes that include:

    1. Export the module settings field using the IPORTABLE Export Content. Import the module configuration / settings into a new instance and turn off validation, then have Admin's only Manage users from this page.

    Or...

    2. Switch to using SQL Validation and pass in the $(CurrentUserID) token... Then return true/false based on what fields entries were submitted and if the user was part of he admin role.

Both seem like more work then you might want to implement but we really have not had any requests for this feature so I am not sure this will be part of the global product for now.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Chad,

I think the Export/Import function might do the trick.
To me it seems like having a way an Admin can modify fields for other users is a logical step with the fact that you have a Manage Users section.  The workaround should do the trick though.
