I've a DR form where I want the unique userid to be the registrant's email address.

I've checked the box in Module Configuration to: "Same email cannot register twice."

    If I register "somename@somedomain.com" first
Then register "somename@somedomain.com" there is no warning or any indication that there is a problem.  However, the username becomes "somename@somedomain.com1"

I'd prefer to have the registration stop until it is resolved, rather than add a digit to the username.  Is this a setting that I'm missing somewhere?

    Hi Don,

The function to add a digit to the email address is related to auto-creating the username. Do you have the auto-create enabled in the DNN Core Integration?

Yes, I am auto-creating the username as the email address.

In that case, I would suggest that you don't use the auto-create because it will always add a number at the end if that username already exists. Instead, please try mapping the username and the email credentials to the same email field (in DNN Core Integration). Let us know how that works for you. Thanks!
