I get this error , is there a fix for it, I am using 4.0 DR

and 3.4 DF

Hi. I believe this happens with some versions of DNN with some of our older releases. Especially if you go into the Log Settings area. This was changed to support the newer versions of DNN within the latest versions of both the Dynamic Forms and Dynamic Registration module.

Unfortunately Dynamic Forms 3.4 and Dynamic Registration 4.0 was released before DNN 6.1.4 existed. So therefore there hasn't been any testing between these softwares. So any issues that you're running into is difficult to debug and provide fixes for. The fix is to stay on our upgrade path to ensure that you're receiving working versions of our modules.

If you successfully stay on our upgrade path you'll find yourself always receiving a 70% discount upon upgrading to the next available version. That's quite an incentive, not to mention that when we're releasing new versions, new featurse are implemented and made available.

Are you able to tell us what version the type 'LabelControl' is changed? We are on version 4.1.7 and the problem still exists. I appreciate the upgrade path but we cant advise clients to upgrade if it hasn't been fixed yet. If it has can you let us know what version and if not then let us know if it is on the roadmap?

This is critical as this has broken a core dnn function that a couple of our clients rely on so we at least need to know what to expect and advise them.

Hi Mark - I know that this was fixed in the 4.2 release. I am not sure we plan on releasing another patch back to earlier releases however I can probably get you a work around? This is only when you go into Admin, Event Viewer and work on editing or adding to log entries/items right?

in this case this is a government agency (small one). We are post upgrade on their site when this was discovered. I tested a copy of 4.2 on the dev upgraded site and it does work fine at 4.2. I am not sure yet if they are going to be able to get funding for the upgrade so I guess a work around may be required. Otherwise I'm not quit sure what we will do yet. If you want I can wait to see what is going to happen with their funding. I know it is a small amount of money but of course they have to get budget funds and approval for every penny.

Do you have a particular work around in mind? I don't think it is worth creating more labor for either of us than the cos of the upgrade. but if it is something that is fairly simple maybe I could implement it.
