unverified message still appears

    Hello,

    i have set my portals registration to "verified" and use Dynamic Registration to

    1. set the user status to unauthorized after completion of the Dynamic Registration process by using the following Dynamic SQL statement after completion:

    Update UserPortals Set Authorised = 0 where UserID = $(UserID)

    Which seems to be working fine. The user is still unauthorized after complete registration.

    then

    2. i fire out an email to the user providing a link through inclusion of the following Dynamic token:
    $(AutoApproveWLoginLink)

    If the user clicks on this link he is automatically presented the standard login page with his user name already in place and is also automatically verified... meaning his status is accordingly set to "authorized". Which can be checked from the Admin-User Accounts page.

    The only thing that is still quite confusing is the fact that even after correct login the user is always presented with the standard DNN message:
    "You are using an unverified account. Please verify your account by clicking on the link contained in the verification email we've already sent to you."

    But this is something the user has already done?!?!?

    How can i get rid of that darn message???
    Or why does it still appear?!?!?!?

    my config:
    DNN 06.02.00 (1610)
    Dynamic Registration 4.2

    Any help greatly appreciated...

    Hi - If you have the DotNetNuke registration setup as "Verified" then you shouldn't even need to implement step #1. Or you could implement the registration as "Private" as this would do the same thing.

    Then, once you click on the verification email, you shouldn't be take to a login... you should be taken to the Dynamic Registration page which handles the verification because the user clicked the link (it shouldn't go to a login page, it should be going to the same Dynamic Registration page which will then check the URL and verify the user).

    Setting the portals status to "Private" solved the issue.

    Thank you, Chad... Now it works like a charm.
