In the DR settings under Module Security you can authorize roles to manage users. But then that authorized person can manage ALL users. Is there a way to only allow them to manage the users with a specific role?

Here's what I might do in this situation:

I would create a Dynamic View that pulls in all users with the Role you specified. Then create a Hyperlink in the Dynamic Views template "Manage" that points to the page with your Registration form and passes:

?Manage=True&UserID=[UserID]

This will allow you to filter only users with a specific role and manage only these users.

Sure it's an extra step, however I feel that this would be a more efficient workflow. If you don't know what Dynamic Views is you can download a trial version from here:

Hi Sean / Ryan - There is another method you can use here as well.

Within Dynamic Registration (at least starting around 4.1 or 4.2) there is a setting called "w/ Matching User Profile Property".

That setting allows users with the security role to manage other users, but only if the user has a matching profile property. So for example, if you had an "OrganizationCode" profile property and the users organization code was "ABC" then it would only allow them to manage users that had that security role AND also had the organization code ABC.
