Hi - I am trying to implement the same blacklist functioality on a DynamicRegistration and DynamicForm module on the same portal.  Specifically, the blacklist on the DR module will is intended to prevent registrations that include the blacklisted text, while the DF module is to prevent a form submission.

The blacklist functionality works on each of the DR and DF modules.  Specifially the forms will not submit if a blacklisted term is included.  The problem is I am unable to get the Blacklist Failed Message text to display on the DR form.  (it does display correctly on DF).

Here's what happens on DR when I submit a form that includes the blacklisted text.  First, the form processes and refreshes to show all the fields with data, but no Blacklist Failed message visible.  If I then click Submit a second time, the form processes and returns the following error:  A critical error has occurred. An unexpected error has occurred.
See attached file for the full error message from Event Viewer.

So to summarize, the blacklist successfully stops the form submission on both DR and DF.  The issue is the Blacklist Failed Message does not display on DF.  We are running DNN Professional V6.1.5; DR v4.0.60 and DF v 4.10.

    Thank you in advance.
    Mark

    Hello Mark,

This is currently logged in our Bug Tracking System as an outstanding issue with Dynamic Registration.

A work around may be to use a SQL Validation instead.

A SQL Validation doesn't have the capability for a full template such as the Black List message does, however you can accomplish the same validation with a SQL Validation and return an error message as well.

An example of a SQL Validation may be like the following if you wanted to prevent the form from being submitted when the words "Invalid" or "Bad" is included in a particular field:

    /*Same idea as a Blacklist validation*/
    IF '$(ShortFieldName1)' = 'Invalid' or '$(ShortFieldName1)' = 'Bad'
    BEGIN
Select 'False' As IsValid, 'ShortFieldName1 does not accept the values "Invalid" or "Bad".' As ValidationError
    END
    ELSE
    BEGIN
Select 'True' As IsValid, '' As ValidationError
    END
    ....

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
