    Hi,

Can someone advise of the recommended way to execute a stored procedure when someone is in the Manage Users screen and clicks on the red X to delete a user? Once this action has been confirmed I would like my SP to run. It gets passed the UserID of the user. Using DR 4.2.2

    Thanks,

    Jim.

    Hello Jim,

Unfortunately Dynamic Registration doesn't allow the window of opportunity to add completion events or triggering events to the Manage Users Grid.

For this type of functionality, you'll need to use a different solution. The idea would be to build the same type of User management grid, but you'll need the ability to fire SQL when an action occurs.

Dynamic Views would be the perfect solution for this. You can build a Dynamic View to pull in all Users on your site. You could also have an Add User and Edit User button that would redirect information over to a Dynamic Registration module based on passing the Querystring parameters:

    For Add Mode, pass: AddUser=True
    For Edit Mode, pass: ManageUser=True&UserID=IDOfUserAccount

IDOfUserAccount = The UserID of the account that you wish to modify.

Dynamic Views can handle the Delete functionality with a feature called Actions. I also have a blog post that goes over how to add a Confirmation Message to an action before it is executed:

Please review and let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your prompt response and I will look at using Dynamic Views as a workaround.

    Thanks,

    Jim.
