I have a need to create a field in the profile that stores a running number during registration. The point of this running number is so that later we can change it manually to a CustomerID number from an internal ERP system.

Any thoughts on how to do this in DR?

If not, let me know. You can always create a flat table and with each record insert the primary key could auto generate the next number. If you are attempting to give them access to a number BEFORE they hit submit this is tricky though because two users might load the page at the same time and therefore they would get the same number.
