We purchased Dynamic Registration to assist us with multiple event registrations for our outlaying offices. We have several upcoming events that people will need to register for the event, select multiple options then pay for the selections by credit card using paypal payflow. For example, we have a couples conference coming up that's going to have a standard fee for attendees then they'll need to record both names, address both mail and email, accept the fee and the record any dietary concerns. Not sure Dyanmic Registration is the right tool now. We also have administrators that login remotely, other forums users, wiki users etc. as well as internal users that are logging in with windows AD authentication. Is Dynamic Registration going to replace our simple login screen for DNN? I don't think we want that.

    Hi Jim,

Just want to confirm that you're the same Jim that Chad was talking to on HelpDesk Ticket 128242. If this is not you, and you still need help, please let us know. Thanks!

    Candace

    Hi Candace,

It was. Just got back to working on this today and there still seems to be some confusion. The demonstrations that Chad pointed me to are all for dynamic forms. That's OK, but it seems as though there are no Dynamic Registration samples for paypal integration. Even with the Dynamic Forms, the instructions are somewhat incomplete. What they don't mention in the documentation, is that if you want to use those forms samples, a couple of things have to happen.

1.When downloading the demo, the xml file has to be in the form of:
content.dynamicregistration.whateveryoucallyourform.xml before you put it on your site. If not, it doesn't recognize that it belongs to the dynamicregistration module.
2.When you perform the import content, it will bring the xml into the module content area. Unfortunately, the tags are still referring to and have to be changed to . Otherwise it will complain about the content not belonging to the module you're trying to import it into.
3.Haven't looked at the rest of the content from the sample, but it appears that there are probably a few more options that don't work with dynamic registration (like the hidden total field and the summing of the checkbox values).

Are there actual dynamic registration demonstration xml's floating around anywhere? Chad did mention that you were the best when it comes to dynamic registration support

    Jim
