I have been attempting an upgreade from V4.4.0 to 4.4.1. Following the upgrade my login is broken (i.e. password no longer recognised at login).

 

I have the data springs dynamic registration installed.

 

Are you aware whether this would potentially have any impact that could cause this effect?

 

I have rolled back and reapplied the upgrade and the results are repeatable.

 

I haven't attached SQL profiler or done a before after diff on the data yet, to dig deeper, but thought I'd see if this a known issue at all?

Hi. Umm, no as far as I know there is no way the module would cause this problem and we have had many customers recently make the same upgrade so.....

Before moving too much further you might post something on the main dotnetnuke forum, just to confirm are you positive the tag was left the exact same between 4.4.0 and 4.4.1? If not, that would cause this issue. The machine key MUST be the exact same within the web.config file or passwords will not work etc...

Thanks for your reply - you were desd right - I hadn't copied the machinekey to the new web.config! I'l remember that  next time I upgrade!
