    Hi,

I was trying to integrate the Drop Down Login with Dynamic Login by following the user manual and having trouble displaying the labels for all fields (username, password, submit button, remember me etc).

I have tried this on a couple of websites and skins and they all appear the same, see screenshots below:

I'm not sure if this has something to do with the DNN version we are running on which is 5.6.

We appreciate your help on this.

    Thanks,
    Cassie

    Thanks,

    Cassie-

I am having the same problem, have really been struggling with these two products for the last two days.  Dynamic Logon seems to be working fine but DropDown login was the real attraction...DropDown Login also works OK by itself but does not display the labels or buttons when integrated with Dynamic Login.

I  made a workaround for now that is pretty hacked together, if you browse to your Dynamic Login page as an unauthenticated user you can get all of the HTML for the labels and buttons, if you put those into the template instead of the tokens it actually works.  Unfortunately error text does not get displayed so people can pound away without knowing what's going on.

All I really wanted was for DropDown Login to use the rules of Dynamic Login (SQL, SSO, etc), not the layout.  All the time I spent working with the DropDown Login CSS was wasted since its content is now ignored.

My DNN install is 5.5.1 and I am running Dynamic Logon version 3.5.0.16381.

Hi guys... There appear to be some localization issues which we discovered late last week. There are some work-arounds with moving some localization resources to either the global resources area or moving the Dynamic Login localization resources over the to dropdown login directory but we are still reviewing for exact steps as far as a full patch or for the current instructions. We should be able to drill down further this week and get a patch out or information on how to get around this issue.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi guys,

I wanted to follow up here with some additional steps that are necessary for the Dynamic Login / DropDown Login integration. If your site is having localization/language issues where the Dynamic Login labels and system messages are not showing up, then (until we research further and issue a direct patch) you will need to follow these steps:

    1. Make a backup copy of the file DNN\App_GlobalResources\SharedResources.resx
    2. Open the file in notepad and scroll near the bottom before the part of the file.
    3. Right before the bottom please copy/paste all of the text from this file:
    http://www.datasprings.com/document...ources.txt
    4. Save the file / refresh your site.

The file above holds all of the main localization resources and can also be found in the DNN\DesktopModules\DynamicLogin\App_LocalResources\DynamicLogin.ascx.resx file as well. I just added this to a simple text file to make the steps above easier.

    Thanks!

Is there a better fix out for this yet?

Applying the hack to the SharedResources.resx file helped a little - but with integration set to True the styles don't appear to apply correctly to the dropdown (I am using the default styles at this point, haven't changed them a bit)

This looks to be super sweet... and goes well with our sites use of PackFlash's MegaMenu, too... thumbs crossed!

    Thanks.
