    Hi Guys,

When sending emails, we have links back to pages on our website. When I create the newsletter, I select the text I want to be a link, then click the link button and select Browse Server. I then select the page I want and add it.

Now the problem with this is that when the email is received by the user, they are not getting the full URL, just the part after domain name, e.g /Parrots/Re-homingLists rather than www.birdline.org.uk/Parrots/Re-homongLists.

I know I can get round it by typing the URL's manually, but we send loads of these emails out and it's really time consuming to type the links manually.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Marc,

Yes... There are some settings within your Rich Text Editor to show the full URL within a link or just the relative URL. This is because the editor typically would always be on your domain (such as in a text/html module) so it would post /something.aspx instead of www.domain.com/something.aspx. I think there is another way around this though... I think you can use the 'BASE HREF' within the header tag. Do you have anything specified within the header tag setting under module configuration within the advanced newsletter module?

Hi Chad,   Many thanks for the reply. OK, so it's an editor setting rather than Opt in? Does that mean it affects the whole site? I would assume so.

In answer to your question. No, I have nothing in the Header Tag setting.

    Thanks

    Marc

    Hi

I am also having this issue. Could you please clarify how to resolve this problem? What header tags are you referring to? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
