Hi, I've a specific role to create new newsletters.
The user in that role can see in the OptIn Advanced Email the create newsletter button and the list of the newsletters sent with subject status and command image (view report, view email etc.). All is showed right!
The problem is that this user don't see the newsletter in draft status. He can create a copy but is not able to see and edit it.
If I login with admin or host user I can see the draft created from that user.
Is it a bug? How I can solve? I can't give admin right for only sent newsletters!

Still no solution to this problem? with the previous version everything worked fine! Now the copywriter of my newsletter is no longer able to view and edit the drafts!
Now I'm using OptIn 4.3.6 version on DNN 5.5.1

Hi Scippy One,
Sorry this question didn't get picked up on. What I can see right now is that you are working with DNN 5.5.1 instead of 5.6.2 or later for this newer version of Opt In ( 4.3.6). Sometimes this can be a problem and there may not be a bug at all. When we see this we recommend that users update their DNN to the latest version. Very soon DNN 6 is coming out and that might be the best choice. For now we might test this problem by your putting your example of Opt In Email on www.BetaSprings.com. The login is host, dnnhost. Can you go there and in the Opt In Email section make a new page and install an Opt In Email module and set it up the way your want and see if it is working right there?
Thanks

Hi Skippy - I do believe that this was changed but I would have to verify against the latest release. This came about because of some new enhancements we added within 4.3 with regards to how newsletters were searched, filtered based on drafts/non drafts etc... I just followed up with your email and we will see when a patch might be available that covers this or if this will be in the 4.4 release.
Thank,
Chad

Skippy – This might help you out, shortly after we found the bug that came about we did create a work around within Opt In Email to get around this for users that are not Administrators. You simply need to setup a security role called “Content Administrators” and for any users that need to be able to send out newsletters that are not administrators (and they need to see drafts etc…) just add them to that security role.
