I'm having trouble importing users from DNN roles. When I select a role and try to import, I get the following error:

 

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load file or assembly 'MemberRole, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b7c773fb104e7562' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

 

Also, when I tried entering an email address on the Opt In module, I was getting an error message like "email address does not appear in our system" and no new user appears in my list. Now when I try to add an email in this way I get the message:

 

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

 

Any help is appreciated!

Hi. Yes, in this case it sounds like you are running V2.5 on DNN 4.x which is on ASP.NET 2.0. You will need to upgrade to V2.6 (should be 80% discount on Snowcovered for the upgrade). which now supports both DNN 3.x and 4.x including updates that will fix this issue. You can also contact us for a patch (use the contact us page for now) but you might be best just to upgrade to 2.6 because of additional features.
