    Hi,

I have been trying for some time to get a PayPal integration for a subscription to work as per Demonstration 16 except that I have 3 subscription types.

The Option Value for each subscription type has been set as follows:

    &a3=25.00&t3=Y&p3=1

    &a3=12.50&t3=Y&p3=1

    &a3=5.00&t3=Y&p3=1

I have set the additional paramenters to:

    &item_name=$(TypeM)&currency_code=EUR&first_name=$(FirstName)&last_name=$(LastName)&email=$(Email)

    as described in demonstration 16.

The Option Values are not being passed to PayPal as they should and I do not understand why. Apart from this being a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend, what am I missing?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

Are your options a radio button?  Try this:

    &item_name=$(TypeM_Text)$(TypeM)&currency_code=EUR&first_name=$(FirstName)&last_name=$(LastName)&email=$(Email)

or you can try &item_name=Your%20Product%20Name$(TypeM)&currency_code=EUR  ..... etc.

The way you had it before was sending this string to PayPal: &item_name=&a3=25.00&t3 ...  etc.  which was why it wasn't going well.  Let me know if this works for you.  Thanks!

    Hi Candace,

Yes, it is a radio button.

I had tried &item_name=$(TypeM_Text)$(TypeM) before and got $(TypeM_Text) as the item description on the PayPal page and still no price passed across.

I'll try again with the other suggestion you make.

    Thanks

    Phil

This is what I get when I use the &item_name=$(TypeM_Text)$(TypeM).....  Now trying the other suggestion.

When I use &item_name=Your%20Product%20Name$(TypeM) I get a very similar result again without the price information being passed across.

Hmm...are you able to give us temporaray edit rights?  If you can, please use the Contact Us Form and provide the following:  1) the URL,  2) admin login (preferably host),  3) your main sandbox  account login,  and 4) the login/passwords for your test buyer and seller accounts.  I'll look into it on Monday when I come in.  Thanks!

Just to close this one. The function does not work as advertised with Dynamic Forms 2.60.70. I checked my other implementations and it only works with 2.7 or later. Doh!
