    Hi,

I have a form with Gridview table with 6 columns. 1st Column is the list of attributes. 1st row contains the list of headers for data columns. This is about event registration. So the table looks ,like this. These are check boxes.

    [Options][person1][person2][person3]
    [stay]   [   x   ][   x   ][  x    ]
    [food]   [   x   ][   x   ][  x    ]
    [rides]  [   x   ][   x   ][  x    ]

    Here are my questions:

    1. Can we retrieve data for these items from URL string posted by an external Form? If so, where do we set the option to "Retrieve from URL string"?

    2. Instead of showing constants like Person1, Person2, Person3, etc. as the column headers, is there a way to show the actual names dynamically from other Form fields (regular text fields that are setup to retrieve values from URL string]

    3. Regardless of the above features, how do we retrieve and act upon the actions made by the user (checks made on these boxes], for example to fire some completion events like sending mail, storing the data, etc.? Is it possible to refer to these checkboxes, as "stay.person1" , or "person1.stay" etc.?

    4. Can we set these boxes programmatically based on other conditions?

Thanks a lot in advance !
    VJ

HI VJ, sorry for missing this entire post but I did talked to you a lot on other posts:
    1) I don't see a way to retrieve values for Gridview from a URL posted by an external form
    2) Only client side javascript can work with input textbox so this would have to be done with javascript but I'm not familiar with any javascript at the moment that works with gridview / datagrid fields
    3) Again, right now, question events can only fire on "any event" for these field types and not a particular check within a row cell/column
These are excellent questions and I hope we can implement these into future versions of Dynamic Forms but the gridview / datagrid fields are relatively new and hopefully, we can reference them and act on them like Visual Basic for Excel but using javascript in the future. -- David
