I have a client that wants to come back and edit forms. The problem is that the View Form Results page gives no information as to which form is which (I suppose because that info is specific to the form)

Is there a way to edit the template for the grid? I've told them to use the filter and they told me to go to h#ll.

Now which one is John Smiths?

HI, unfortunately, editing form results will only edit the fields that are saved so unless the user filling out the form is also captured in a form field and saved as well, there is a way to tell which form that user filled out.

The best way to make a reporting out of this is to create an SQL table and store the data to the SQL table along with the UserID that is filling out the form and using a reporting module such as DNN Reports Module / Open Web Studio / Indoogrid for editing and filtering. We have examples of these type of tutorials under www.datasprings.com/formdemos

    Michael,

You cannot edit the template of the grid but you can choose one field from your form to display in the grid. Under Module Configuration, General Settings, the first option is "Select a summary field". Choose any field from your form and it will display in the results grid. It's not much but it's better than nothing. If you need more than that then you have to save to a custom SQL table as David suggested.

     Thanks RTenny,

Thats what I was looking for. It would be nice to be able to tokenize the field (ie) $(lastname), $(firstname) but this works.

Michael - There is also an option to use all of the $(Tokens) within the template (in 3.1 its called custom template under view results I believe) however the feature doesn't exist within the grid itself (slightly more complicated there but possibly down the road for future enhancements as we are already doing something similar with Dynamic User Directory item templates).
