    Hi

I installed the 3.1 Version  (update from 2.7) on a 4.8 DNN.  No I have a javascript error  in the admin - mode:

'this.parentNode' is null or not an object

and the error occures in the jquery.min.js.

If I look at the html code, then it seems, that not everything from the dynamic form  (closing div tags) is rendered.

Do you have any idea, what that could be?

    Thanks

    Hajo

if I disable jQuery I get the error:

     'jQuery' is undefined

Some javascript code uses jquery anyway.

HI, if you disable jquery in the module configuration of dynamic forms, but enable it under Host Settings, will it work? -- David

HI, there's gotta be some jquery settings under Host Settings somewhere. Perhaps if not, then DNN 4.8 doesn't support jquery? Do you have another test environment with the latest version of DNN 5.01.04? -- David

    Hi guys...

I have been researching this more and I think its a specific conflict with DNN 4.8 and the DNN Sol Part menu. Basically if your skin/containers use the Sol Part menu on this version of DNN, and if the module uses any jQuery, there is a problem. You can find out more about this here:

    http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community...fault.aspx

The first post explains most of the issue.

So... I am not really sure the best route to go from here with the issue though, my guess is that when jQuery is disabled we need to make sure its not rendering the other jQuery items. The reason we still render some of the other jQuery items is because sometimes the want the DNN install to render the jQuery scripts (under host, host settings starting in DNN 5.1) and not Dynamic Forms.

I will be testing this later today against the 3.1 release, to double check and make sure that no jQuery items render when jQuery is disabled. You might also consider upgrading your version of DNN or using a skin/container that doesn't use the SolPart Menu.
