I have a form with 12 fields. On 2 of them I use javascript for validation. In both cases it is tested if the given value is an integer, if not an alert will pop up.

My question: how can I set the focus to the field, for which the alert pops up? So the user has to enter a proper value.

Unfortunatelly, I'm not that familiar with javascript, so I can not really use this information. What I am doing is the following:

I have a formfield which should only accept numbers. If the user enters something else, an alert comes up. After this the focus should set to this field. I added tho following code to 'Custom JavaScript File':

alert('"' + (fieldvalue) + '" scheint keine korrekte Kundennummer zu sein.');
document.getElementById($(F4_dnn$ctr948$DynamicForms$Label_9fb26ea9-3c45-4fb7-b374-69459adf15de)).focus();
}

but nothing happens. How do I get the correct >ElementId from DynamicForms? Is there a misspelling inside the script? What has this script to look like?
