Has anyone written scripts to handle taxes in Dynamic Reg?
We need to display/calculate/charge different taxes by state/province in Canada. No tax for anyone else.
ANY help would be useful!

HI, will you be using your own SQL table to store the different tax bracket info by state/province to retrieve the data? If so, this is doable with dependent drop down combobox options. There is a tutorial on dependent drop down combolist (created for dynamic forms but same behavior for dynamic registration) that you can check out at www.datasprings.com/formdemos

David, thanks for the reply. I didn't get any notice of it...
Actually, I'm implementing my tax rules in client-side-script on a dynamic question.
I have a combobox with monthly or yearly subscription choices. There are subtotal, provincial, federal and total text boxes.
I calculate the figures for all fields based on what the user choses as a subscription.
The issue I am having is that I cannot access the country combobox value to know if they're in Canada AND then the region combobox toknow what province they're in. These are DNN usercontrols and I can't seem to access them from client-side-script.
If I can get those values, everything else falls into place, no problem as I can already calculate the figures in testing by assuming a country and province.
I only need to work with Canadian taxes.
Any ideas?
Thanks

HI, I don't know how to to access those DNN host lists tables using client side javascript either. I do know how to access them using straight SQL though. -- David

David, sorry for such a late reply...
I abandoned the standard Country and Region lists for my own.
I populated the lists with Text as QuestionOption and Value and QuestionOptionValue.
If you do that, the value is found in the query-string builder and the country codes and region codes are used.
Once I figured that out, I moved my tax rules to paypal and deleted all that in my DR implementation.
