This is probably an easy question but I'm new to this so take it easy on me. I've created a dynamic form with a combo box that has each of our company's divisions. Depending on which division is selected, that division gets the e-mail. What I would like to do is put a Contact Us link on each division's page. When someone clicks on the Contact Us link on that division's page, I want the combo box to automatically populate with that division.
Example:
If I'm on the vending page and click on the Contact Us link, the user is directed to the Contact Us page and the Division Combo box already has Vending Selected. Possible?

Hello Chris,
Yes this is possible using Dynamic Forms.
What module are you using on the vending page with all of the Contact Us links?
Anyways, this is possible to accomplish by using something called a querystring. Basically you can pass parameter values through the URL when redirecting the page. So you can have your combo box with all of the divisions loaded into it, and you can go to the combo box control and go into edit mode and look for an expandable menu "Advanced Field Options" and here you can apply the checkbox "Retrieve values from querystring variable for this question" so you will check this box. You must also pass via querystring from your ex: vending page with contact links. When you retreive this value via querystring you can go to "Module Configuration -> Custom Javascript File" and insert your Javascript to make the querystring variable the default value in your combo box.
If you have any questions please let me know so I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Ryan

The Contact Us hyperlink on the Vending page is in a basic Text/Html module

Hello Chris,
You can pass the query string with the hyperlink. So you will pass the shortname of your combo box with the value so ComboName = EastCoastVending and then you can retrieve the value via javascript in the initial page load where you can specify in Module Configuration -> Custom Javascript File. Place your javascript that will change the default value of your combo box depending on the querystring parameter.
Thanks,
Ryan
