    I have a couple of questions in regards of my form layout:

    1.  I have a question that I created using TEXT/HTML Field.  In my form, I am trying to have the TEXT value of the question to span the width of the form but I am not having any luck.  It stays left aligned to the form.  I have tried using the Question Look/Feel settings and tried changing the COLUMN SPAN and FIELD WIDTH, but I am having no luck.  Suggestions?

    2.  In the same form, my first set of 10 questions are using the following width properties: Question Label at 300 width and Question Field at 300.  But on my my next question 11, I have 3 questions that will be on the same row.  When I view it, the spacing of the 3 questions are skewed and do not space properly.  I have adjusted using the field width, but it makes the questions field smaller.
    Any suggestions on how to fix a spacing issue when questions are on the same rows as the previous, which in my case I have 3 in one row?  I am thinking the question prior are skewing it.

    Appreciate any assistance.

    Hi Chuck,

    I always like to use colspan of 10 or so when I have a text/html field and want it to go across the form width.  Check field width to 1000 too.

    You might also check out Demo 19 in our www.datasprings.com/formdemos for more tips.  Thanks!

    Hi Candace,  Thanks for your suggestion.  I ended up going on a different route using  CSS method.

    If anyone is interested this is how I accomplished it.  As per Candace pointed out that make sure your colspan is set at a high number.  If your form is formatted with a 2 column format, setting it at 5 will suffice for future columns.  Just set it so the column span covers all column in your forms.  The width of it, I kept it at 200.

    In my example, I wanted a section heading to span in a given area in a form. e.g.  Section 1.  So I created a question using the TEXT/HTML option.  In your editor, make sure RICH TEXT EDITOR is selected and in the editor click on HTML as your mode.  Within the HTML mode use this as an example:

    SECTION 1

    Then, UPDATE the field.

    In your DF question control panel select MODULE CONFIGURATION | STYLE SHEET

    Make sure you select USE CUSTOM DYNAMIC FORMS STYLE SHEET

    In that section, enter the following code:

    p.sectionHeading {
    border: 1px solid grey;
    background-color: #777;
    font-size: 10pt;
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 20px;
    text-align: left;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #fff;
    }

    Then, click on the link UPDATE STYLE SHEET

    If you are familiar with CSS properties, you can play with the setting to see what your results would be.

    Hope this helps.
