    Hello,
I'm running DF Ver:3.40.40.0 on DNN 5.6.1.  I've setup 2 Email completion events. One event is set to fire and send an email to the person who fills out the form and the 2nd event is set to notify the admins that someone has filled out the form.  When the form is filled out and submitted, it seems that the results are being saved correctly but the emails aren't firing.  I did the SMTP configuration and the email was received successfully so I know that email is working on the site. I'm not sure what else could be the problem.  I'd appreciate any help that I can get.  Thanks in advance!

    Hello Josh,

Submit the form to try and invoke the email completion events to fire. Then go to Admin -> Event Viewer and see if any errors were logged. My guess is that you're getting an error that states something along the sorts of "Email is in Invalid Format". Please let me know if you find any errors in the section I pointed you to.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

I did find an error in the event viewer, The email address (Epic Church) is not in a valid format. I'm not sure what's incorrect about the email address.  It's a valid mailbox on the epicwired.net domain.

I am having the exact same issue, a valid email address is being flagged as having an invalid format. Tried both my work email and a gmail account and the same problem exists using Dynamic Forms 3.4 and DNN 5.6.1

    Hi Josh and BWinn,

There is a problem with emails that came about with DNN 5.6.1 discussed in this other forum thread. Chad gives an update and workarounds on page 2. Thanks!

Ahh perfect, that work-around resolved the issue in the short term.

Changing the email validation in DNN 5.6 (Admin -> User Accounts -> User Settings -> Email Address Validation)
    From DNN 5.6: ^[a-zA-Z0-9_%\-+](?:\.*[a-zA-Z0-9_%\-+])*@[a-zA-Z0-9_\-](?:\.*[a-zA-Z0-9_\-])*\.[a-zA-Z]{2,9}$
    To DNN 5.5: \b[a-zA-Z0-9._%\-+']+@[a-zA-Z0-9.\-]+\.[a-zA-Z]{2,4}\b

And my email events fire correctly. Thanks for the help!
