I have a PDF form embeded on my webste. When the PDF form is submitted sends a silent post to a DF form that in turns saves the data to my db. My problem is that after DF saves the data to the DB the page redirect happens inside of the Iframe. Is there a way to have the DF form redirect to the parent page?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Benjamin,
You should be able to do this with a custom completion event for URL/Page Redirection in Dynamic Forms. Choose 'any field response' because they will be re-directed after the form is submitted. For the re-direct page you can choose the page on your site that you want to re-direct to. If you set this up and save your setting then you should be able to get this functionality.
    Thanks

    Don,
Tha is how I have it set up, but when the redirect happens, it happens inside of the iframe.

So I try using some JavaScript on the custom JavaScript file under the submit and save JavaScript

    window.top.location.href = "https://mywebsite.com";

The problem is that since I am doing a silent post, the submit button is never clicked so the JavaScript is never fired.

Any ideas on how I can make this redirect work?

Hi Benjamin... Hmmm... Yes that is not fun

I think I know what you need but really not sure the best way around it... Maybe:

    1. Have it redirect to a thank you page (or other page) and on that page execute the JavaScript you need for the windows.top.location?

    OR

    2. Maybe use initial JavaScript and initially (on page load) set the value of a variable such as $(InitialLoad) = 'True' then, right before you set this value, execute the window.top.location if the value is blank (or whatever the value of Initial Field) is set to. So basically the first time the page loads it would NOT execute the window.toplocation but then the next time (any postback such as after it posts the silent post) then it would execute the location change?

    Chad,

Thank you for the insights; I am using the first method which actually works very well since I can add some extra redirect logic in that thank you page.

    Hi Ben,

I know this is an old post but maybe you can help. I too am using a post method to push data to DF. But my DF does not show the posted data.
Did you set flag somewhere to accept Post method rather than get method ?

Also did you find a way to autosubmit your form on receiving of data
