    Hi everyone!

I'm having some problems installing the module in a DNN 4.9.

    Here's the error:

    DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: C:\HostingSpaces\hjlampe\sistemareddevida.com.ar\wwwroot\DesktopModules\Dynamic Forms\DynamicForms.ascx(52): error BC30451: Name 'Settings' is not declared. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException

My line 52 of DynamicForms.ascx is:

     <% if CStr(Settings("HideModal")) <> "True" then %>

Any clues? I've tried the standard installing/uninstalling stuff but nothing worked.

I was gonna purchase it today so I could use it in my DNN 4.9 site, and I tried to install the trial version just in case. Glad I did that! =)

    Thanks everyone,

    Damian

    Hi Damian,
Look at this post as there is a known issue with DF on DNN 4.9 but there should be a resolution for you here. Please read through the post and get the patch/hotfix
    http://www.datasprings.com/dnn-modu...on-dnn-4-9

    Thanks

    Hi Gee

Thanks for your answer! I've seen that post, thanks! The thing is.. I haven't purchased the module yet. I'm trying the module on a 4.9 DNN. If I can make everything work with the trial I'm gonna purchase it.

So, is there any way that I can have access to that patch/hotfix without purchasing the module? Or I *must* take a leap of faith?

    Thanks again,

    Damian

    Hi Damian,
Sorry if I am late on this reply. Since you have an error you probably want to try and find a hot fix. What I know is that the Hotfixs/patches are on snowcovered. I would suggest that you try registering on the site. There is a link there to do it and it shouldn't cost you anything. From there I would think you should be good to go to search and download patches and hotfixes.
    Thanks

Hi, no you cannot access patches and hot fixes unless you have purchased the module already... Can you tell me the filename you were installing? Did you download the trial recently?

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Chad and Gee,

I left this behind cause I had other priorities at work. Now I came back to it and took the leap of faith, meaning that I just purchased an Enterprise License and downloaded the hotfix. I'll tell you how it goes.

    Thanks a ton,

    Damian

EDIT: Way to go!! It worked! At least I can make a basic module. I'll keep trying tomorrow, but for now everything worked flawlessly. Thanks!
