Hi Folks. Are there any experts on calculating totals using Dynamic Forms?
We are using a form for bookings tickets online - payment gateway is Paypal.
Client is a school and they want to sell Fireworks night tickets on line. I have set up 4 categories of Combo Box for ticket categories, (Family, Adult, Couple & Child). Visitors can book none or multiple tickets in each category.

I have a total field but cannot work out how to get the total field to calculate & display the total amount in this box. I have set values for each option on the combo boxes.

Ideally I want to protect the totals box and have it populated with the sum of ticket values.

I am sure this is really simple for someone familiar with what to do. I think I have v 2.5 of Dynamic Form.

    Thanks.

    Hi NonTechie,

Calculations are handled using client side events and each field type is handled differently. Please visit www.datasprings.com/formdemos and check out Demo 20. Here you'll find various examples with field types going into sub-totals and then to a grandtotal. Notice that there's an HTML field that displays the total so the user cannot change it but there are hidden total fields that are used to pass to PayPal and in email events, etc. The tutorial underneath the demo would be a great start for you.

Otherwise, we can jump in and do the calculations for you using Premium Support.

    Thanks!
