I am trying to set the width of the RTE in DF 4.0 (DNN 6) to 700px but when the RTE is displayed it is fixed at 400px. I have checked the source (using Firebug) and can see the class "RadEditor Default reWrapper" which has a style and a setting of width:400px If I change this in Firebug to say 700px the RTE resizes to 700px but I cannot do this from within the UI in DF by changing the Width to 700 as it seems to get ignored.
Please can you tell me if this is a bug or something I am doing wrong.
Thanks
Nathan

Hi Nathan,
I don't believe we ever directly set this, I think its setup within the Rich Text Editor directly (whichever one you are using) and the CSS is overriding whatever we set the width to be. So, I would suggest using the Dynamic Forms Stylesheet option and adding that CSS class within that area.
Thanks,

If I add the following to the DF Stylesheet it does not make any effect but if I add the same to the header section of the module it works which is ok but I dont understand why it doesnt work when I add it to the DF stylesheet.
.RadEditor.reWrapper .reToolCell {
padding-bottom: 1px;
vertical-align: top;
min-width: 650px;
background-color: #ececec;
.RadEditor table, .RadEditor.reWrapper table td {
border: 0 none;
padding: 0;
min-width: 600px;
background-color: #ececec;
}

Hi. I believe because of caching anytime you update the stylesheet you need to also click "Control F5" after you click update settings and leave the settings. That or clear your module cache/and or go to host/host settings and click "Restart Application". Sometimes I use "FireBug" for FireFox to see if the module really is pulling in the correct details.

Thanks for this hint.
the only one declaration you need to place in your default.css file is:
.Default.reWrapper {
min-width: 500px !important;
}
