I am trying out Dynamic Forms and it seems to work fine except that when I get my results from the gridview survey it doesn't return the values for the options it returns what looks like a image or html of the results instead of values?

Is there a way to use the grid view survey and return values instead of images or html of the selections?

    Hi,

Yes this is one of the limitations of the GridView / Survey field... Both this field type and also the DataGrid field type save all of the data as an HTML Table... Besides the field data is very dynamic for this type of field the values are stored as a single blog of the HTML table and not unique/individual for each and every column and each and every row in the field. For this reason the DataGrid and GridView field type do not support edit mode and they are listed in the Known Limitations area of Dynamic Forms.

    Thanks,

    -Chad

Just the problem I was facing. In future release please have an option to output the result of a grid view in some format that can be processed inside a stored procedure!

    Hi James,

Thanks for your input.... If you can fill me in on any details as far as "what" specifically in the data you would like to see or access. For example $(Field1_Row1_Column1) or really any ideas related to this would be very helpful.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Chad,

    Thanks for the answer.

For my part it would be helpful if each row could be treated like a radio button control and we could get back the value chosen out of that group of radio buttons. What I ended up doing was using radio button controls for each question, but I liked the way the gridview/survey control looked better, just couldn't get the data out to to sql for analysis of the survey results.
