    Ugh.

So I was able to get the character limit client event to work fine on one form (I used the 255 character limit example from DF). Now, I'm trying to use it on another form and it's not working. On this new form I created 3 multi-line text box fields. One field needs a max character limit of 600 and the other two need a max limit of 1000.

When I try to enter in 1000 under the field's Question Validation section it only lets me enter in 3 digits. Even if I enter 600 though for the first field this doesn't work. Did DF set this up to only allow the max character limit to be 255?

I have hit F5 and refresh after viewing the stylesheet under General Settings and that doesn't do anything. I have double checked my question footers and advanced field option/client event text and they are all correct. The only other thing I noticed was I have headers for these 3 fields where the other form did not. I don't think that could be why this client event isn't working, but figured I'd mention it.

Can someone please help me figure out what is going on here? It's one of the many reasons why I got Dynamic Forms in the first place.

    THANKS!!

Hi there... This is using a specific client side event function that we included within the Initial Default JavaScript file but that function might need to change depending on your exact needs and requirements.

So.. I can go digging to find the function all and we can research it to find out what the limitation might be, but before doing that I just want to confirm something...

Does this work ok if you have this set to 999 and then you change this to 1000 and it does not work? If so, this would mean that there is a limitation in the function call... If this works or 255 though and doesn't work for 600 or another three digit number, then I am not really sure what the limitation would be and I believe there is likely another JavaScript conflict. I usually use FireBug for FireFox to determine issues like this and find out more details about what is happening.

    Thanks!
