I generated a request form using DF 4.0.12.  I turned off the labels, set default values, and make them watermarks.  All of this is working as I wanted.



I have a couple of fields that I would like to put on the same line to reduce the amount of space, like "city", "state", and "zip".  For city and state, I changed the settings to include field in same cell as previous question.  I also tried changing it to use the previous row.  But nothing seems to get me where I need.  I got the closest when I set the questions to just use the previous cell and not the row.  However, it's adding extra space where the labels normally would be.  See image below.  You can see the space above the first and last name row and the city, state, and zip row.


Is there an easy way to fix?

I usually execute the Colspan feature under the Question -> Question Look and Feel to get things to line up well. Using the Add to Previous row should work as well, no need to add to previous cell.

Then to squeeze the form together you can go to Module Configuration -> Format Layout -> Stylesheet and use a Custom CSS Stylesheet. In here you can decrease the width of the entire form by modifying the DynamicForms_MainTable class.
