I notice that for input fields, under validation, when you set Textbox Max Length, in HTML the MAXLENGTH attribute gets set appropriately on the INPUT field. However, doing the same thing for a Multiline TextBox (TEXTAREA) field does not. Now that many browsers are supporting or will soon (since it is standard in HTML5), will an upcoming version of Dynamic Forms properly get this attribute in place?

Yes the MaxLength feature doesn't work with the Multi-lined text box in Dynamic Forms. I apologize for this inconvenience.

A common workaround is by implementing a simple JavaScript function that counts the number of characters in the multi-lined textbox and don't allow over a certain number.

if(countChars($(MultiLineShortFieldName)) <= 10)
{
// code here
}
else
{
//code here to remove all characters after 10 characters.
}
