Hi, I have a long form which I want to break up into smaller chunks. I was hoping to use HTML Divs (Panels). (DNN version 5.6 ish)
Panel 1 would contain 4 - 5 HTML buttons, which if clicked would expand one Panel and collapse the other panels.
I would also like to put an html button (or two) at the bottom of each panel provide similar navigation at the foot of each Panel.

I have set this up with just one html button, to expand the following panel (not got to hide the previous one yet), and this seems to work whilst in "Edit" mode, but not in "View" mode. when in "View" I get a huge load of "View State" error messages - see partial bit below).

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Failed to load viewstate. The control tree into which viewstate is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save viewstate during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Failed to load viewstate.....

Is what I am trying even possible? I do have a Development team I could ask to look at into this, but I do not have a lot of time, so I'd sooner know whether this is a small bug/user error or I am shooting up the wrong alley!!

    Thanks

Hi Neil - I am actually not sure that this is possible. I think you would have to use jQuery/JAvaScript to hide those other panels with an HTML button instead of trying to use question events with a postback etc... You would have to find the DIV ID's and then show/hide those elements upon load, then use some other types of JavaScript/jQuery to show and hide those DIV's.

    Thanks,

    Chad
