Strategy question. My page has two forms. The top form has only one field, a combo box with event names in it with a default value of "Please Choose"

I would like the second form (or maybe just the fields themselves in the second form) to be somehow disabled, or dimmed or invisible until the user chooses something other than the default on the top form. Ideally the bottom form would go dark again if the user choose the "Please Choose" option on the top form later. So- the top form must influence the bottom form.

It this possible? Can you point me to a strategy for this? - Thanks

    Hello Whetstone,

Is it completely necessary to use two Dynamic Forms? Why are you adamant in separating the forms into two? Sounds like the two forms are relevant and should be 1 Dynamic Form.

If having 2 Dynamic Forms is required, then you can use JavaScript to hide/show the bottom Dynamic Forms based on a field selection from the Top Form.

You'll need to begin inspecting the HTML ID's associated with the following:

1.) Top form fields that trigger the bottom form to be available.
2.) Container ID that the Bottom Dynamic Form resides in.

You'll then need to build your JavaScript statement to hide or show the Bottom Dynamic Form conditionally based on the Top Form field selected values.

    Hope this helps.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Ryan's right, you might consider using 1 form instead of 2. Using one form, you can create additional fields set to "hide until forced visible by question event" and then create question events that will display fields depending on the selection made on the previous field.

    Hope that helps!
