mask edit and watermark not working in DNN 7 licensed 4.10.4 dynamic forms dev server at the moment does not work with any default DNN skins either

update: watermark and masking not working – associated with custom error page? Since it works on the server, which has "normal" server error pages, could this be the cause and why? can we fix this - not sure why it is looking for a non-existent .js file anyway. Is this for custom .js file creation? shouldn't it only look if that functionality is enabled?

this is a major site overhaul, so we need a custom error page for returning users.

Went to form configuration > advanced coding options > custom javascript file and did nothing but click the update javascript file button

I am no longer getting a missing .js file error but suspect I have now broken the default js inheritance.

 

Hi. was this a new form? I ask because this file should be generated from the default file and be saved. Worst case scenario if the file is not saved is that you can go and update the file in the place you mentioned. I don't really see how this would break the default JS inheritance. I am also curious if this is a new form instance, or if you are using IPORTABLE and using the Export Content / Import Content features within the module.

this was a new form - as I said, worked on the server (was created locally), but did not work off the server once an externally dev domain was put in place - hmmm...

another quick note - sometimes when creating a new field - I think by drag and drop - the code "short name" is created with a space. This breaks the javascript attempting to run on the field, such as water mark or mask edits
