When our customers use the file upload field within Dynamic Forms 4.0.12 and the file name contains special characters, the link is broke within the email that is sent to us.  I have to go directly to the server to retrieve files.  I was trying to set up regular expressions to prevent them from entering special characters, but I am having troubles getting this to work.

What version of DotNetNuke are you operating on? What kind of special characters are breaking the link to your file??

To prevent the link from breaking you may want to encode the name of your file, so that when embedding the name of the file into an email, you're not violating the URL scheme.

There are several reserved characters when building a URL:

/
?
&
+ several more

And if you don't encode these characters within a file name, you'll end up breaking the URL(404 error).
