    Hi,

Is there a limit to the number of characters that can be entered into a Text / HTML field?

I'm using this field to display our EULA for a product registration screen and the copy keeps getting truncated.

    Thanks,
    Jed

    Hi Jed,

This might depend on the version of Dynamic Forms you are running on and also if you upgraded the module instance or if this is a fresh installation. Can you let me know what version you are running on? If you are on the latest 4.1 release, and you upgraded the module, there might be some small SQL queries you will need to run to increase the column size for those tables.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Chad,

I apologize for not including that information with the initial post.

We're running a fresh installation of Dynamic Forms Ver:4.10.4.23731 on DNN 7.0.5.

    Thanks,
    Jed

    Hi Jed,

You might run this under Host/SQL:
    alter table dbo.dynamicforms_questionresponse
    alter column response nvarchar(max) null

I saw this related to a few other threads:
    http://www.datasprings.com/dnn-modu...h-question

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Chad,

Thank you for the help. I looked at the related threads and your SQL script and they helped me track down the issue.

The issue is actually in the "dbo.dynamicforms_question" table because the HTML/Text for our EULA is entered as the "Questino" and appears in the "Question" column. That column has a 4000 character limit, which is exactly the point where content is truncated.

I tried editing that column to specify nvarchar(max) both by running an SQL script under Host > SQL and directly modifying the properties in Server Management, but that table is prevented from being re-created.

Is that a prevention that DynamicForms has put on the table? Or should I be able to modify the properties of that table?

    Thanks,
    Jed
