Hi, we have a simple little form that collects basically an email's worth of data (subject, body, attachment, and some custom recipient data) that we are trying to HTTP post to an api we have set up.

The URL destination is good; we've tested it with POSTMAN in Chrome, but even hardcoding all of the arguments for it results in an error.

    We're using DF 3.40.1 on DNN 5.6.2.

When the post even fires, we're getting the following error (from the DNN Event Viewer):

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DataSprings.Modules.DynamicForms.DynamicForms.ProcessEvents(Boolean blnRedirectOnly, Boolean blnPaymentGateway, String strPaymentStatus, String strResponseID, Int32 intPaymentUserID) at DataSprings.Modules.DynamicForms.DynamicForms.SubmitForm(Boolean ProcessPaymentNotification, String strResponseID, Boolean blnByPassValidation) at DataSprings.Modules.DynamicForms.DynamicForms.lnkSave_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.System.Web.UI.IPostBackEventHandler.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String eventArgument) at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(NameValueCollection postData) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

    Hello Jeff,

This is a very generic error within DotNetNuke. Can you place your Form in debug mode and initiate the POST via form submission?

You should see text regarding your attempted POST whether it fails or succeeds. Can you please provide the POST details?

It's important to make sure the POST details are URL encoded, so that the POST details doesn't get truncated.

You may want to consider upgrading to Dynamic Forms 4.0, you're operating on a version of Dynamic Forms that's several years old, and may not be the best compatible version for DNN 5.6.2.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
