I downloaded and installed the 2.7.0 trial version of Dynamic Forms on my local machine install of DNN 4.8.4.

I set up a simple form to just send an email reply with the information from the form when the user submits.  I receive the emails just fine when an authenticated user submits the form.  When an unauthenticed user submits the form the email is not delivered. Is this just a limitation of the trial version? If not, any ideas why when the unauthenticated user submits the form the emails are not delivered?

I went to betasprings.com and created copy of what I did there, but I don't receive any emails from that site at all if I was authenticated or not.  I assume maybe you just have email functionality turned off there?

I really like this product, and I am thinking about purchasing, but I really need it to be able to send emails for both authenticated and well as unauthenticated users.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

I finally figured out how to get the email to send as an unauthenticated user as well.  It leads to what may be viewed as an issue to some, but I am not sure if it would be a Dynamic Forms issue or maybe even a DNN Core issue.

What I was doing before to get the issue:

    1. Was signed in as admin user editing my dynamic form.
    2. Clicked logout.
    3. In same browser window submitted form as unauthenticated user.
    4. Email was delivered.

How I was able to get the email to send

    1. Was signed in as admin user editing my dynamic form.
    2. Clicked logout.
    3. Closed browser and opened a new one.
    4. Submitted form as unauthenticated user.
    5. Email was delivered.

Must be a browser or session cache that caused issues.

    Kerry,

Hi. Did you get this fixed up/working? As far as I know as long as your email is working within DNN it should work with Dynamic Forms 2.7 (both standard and trial). There are no known issues and many clients are using the email events.

    Chad,

Thanks for asking. It actually was working all along, but my emails were going to junk mail and I didn't notice.

    Total Homer Simpson "Doh!" moment.
