Help setting up CAPTCHA

    I've tried several permutations of settings to get my Captcha validation working, including:

    • Server side validation ON, Client Side Off
    • Server Off, Client On
    • Both On
    • Both Off
    • All fields required
    • All required fields have same Error text and error message
    • Only Captcha required
    • Different error test and error message

    Nothing is working. I either get an error or a success even when Captcha info was blank or incorrect.

    Is there a post that I can't find that describes the proper settings?

    I upgraded from version 2.3 to 2.5, then added a Captcha field. This is a DNN v4.8.4.

    Ken,

    Did you say you upgraded to Dynamic Forms 2.5?  Can you please confirm this?

    This is confirmed. I upgraded from 2.3.7 to 2.5.3.

    Ken,

    Thanks for that confirmation.  Can you give us temporary edit rights to your site (preferably host)?  If yes, please open a support ticket in Snowcovered.com and provide a username & password so we can review this for you.

    Just a note:  it is recommended that all users running on DNN 4.8.x are running on the latest version of Dynamic Forms which is 2.7.  You can test how this works in betasprings.com (please use host & dnnhost as username & pword).  Thanks.

    Ticket submitted. This site is, in a sense, "finished" in it's purpose, and not currently being used. it's really there for reference now. The problem is spambots keep abusing the form. That is why I have gone back to add Captcha. There really isn't any budget to buy the upgrade. But if you can't get it fixed, maybe I can get the funds. Thanks

    Follow up to close this post. The problem seems to be with the DNN Captcha, not the form module. For anyone else in the same boat, check www.mitchelsellers.com for more info on DNN Captcha. Thanks for your help. I've never had a question on a forum resolved so quickly. You guys are awesome.
