I created a field as a "short" textbox, updated, then created another field, the default checked radio button was "long" textbox, but when I updated and displayed the form, it was formatted as a "short" textbox. As I continued adding fields as "long" they still displayed as "short" unless I manually went back to the field and reset it to "long" which is what I had to do for the rest of the fields.
